भगवती देवी के अलग-अलग रूप

 प्राचीन काल में कई कथाएं प्रचलित हैं जिनमें में से एक है कि हिरण्याक्ष के कुल में एक दुर्गम नामक दैत्य हुआ जो कि वेदों को नष्ट करने करना चाहता था इसके फलस्वरूप उसने हिमालय पर्वत पर ब्रह्मा जी की कठिन तपस्या प्रारंभ की उसके कठिन तप से प्रसन्न होकर ब्रह्मा जी ने उसे वरदान मांगने को कहा उसने ब्रह्मा जी से देवताओं को परास्त करने और सारे वेद उसे प्रदान करने को कहा तब ब्रह्मा जी ने तथास्तु कहकर सारे वेद उस दैत्य को प्रदान कर दिए दुर्गम के हाथों में वेद आ जाने से पृथ्वी पर ब्राह्मण संध्या वंदन जब तक नित्य पूजा पाठ हवन करना भूल गए चारों और पाप का अंधेरा फैलने लगा देवताओं को हवन का भाग मिलना बंद हो गया जिससे देवताओं की शक्ति क्षीण हो गई और पाप बढ़ने से दुर्गम शक्तिशाली हो गया इंद्र पर आक्रमण कर इंद्र को परास्त कर दिया पूजा पाठ हवन ना होने से देवता कमजोर हो गए जिससे वर्षा नहीं हो रही थी जिससे नदी नाले तालाब सूख गए जिसे जीव जंतु और प्राणी त्राहि-त्राहि करने लगे तब ब्राह्मणों ने मां जगदंबा की स्तुति की हे माता!हम तुम्हारी शरण में हैं हमारी रक्षा करें हम तुम्हारे पुत्र हैं जो कि भूख प्यास से तड़प रहे हैं हमारी रक्षा करें हम आपके शरणागत हैं हमारी रक्षा करें मां जगदंबा हमारी रक्षा करें करुण पुकार सुनकर मां भगवती ने ब्राह्मणों को दर्शन दिए उस समय उनके हाथों में धनुष बाण कमल पुष्प शाक एवं सुंदर फल शोभायमान हो रहे थे उसी समय ब्राह्मणों के मलिन  और दुखी मुख को देखकर भगवती के नेत्रों से जलधाराएं गिरने लगी नेत्रों से निकली जलधारा से 9 दिन और नौ रातों तक वर्षा होती रही जिससे सारे संसार की प्राणी सुखी हो गए तब ब्राह्मणों ने मां भगवती को कहा कि आपने हमारे कष्टों को दूर करने के लिए जो आपने अपने नेत्रों से जल की धाराएं निकाली है अतः अब आप शताक्षी नाम से विराजने  की कृपा करें और दुर्गम दैत्य से वेद छीन लेने की कृपा करें भगवती शताक्षी ने अनेक प्रकार के शाक एवं मधुर फल देवताओं और प्राणियों के लिए उपस्थित किया जिस कारण वह शाकंभरी देवी कहलाई ।

                       देवी ने दुर्गम के वध हेतु अपने विग्रह से अनेक शक्तियां प्रकट की और जाकर दुर्गम को ललकार ते हुए कहा अरे दुष्ट वर पाकर तू अभिमानी हो गया है तेरी मृत्यु का समय निकट आ गया है ऐसा कहकर मां जगदंबा ने दैत्य दुर्गम पर बाणों की वर्षा आरंभ कर दी और उसके रथ को तोड़ दिया और सारथी को मार दिया देवी जगदंबा ने दैत्य कि एक अक्षैहिणी  सेना को नष्ट कर दिया बाणों की वर्षा इतनी भयंकर थी कि उनमें से दो बाण उसके नेत्रों में जा लगे फिर पांच बाणों से उसकी छाती छेद डाली जिससे वह मृत्यु को प्राप्त हो गया मां जगदंबा ने उससे वेद ले लिए और देवताओं को प्रदान कर दिए जिससे पूरे आकाश में शंखनाद होने लगा मां जगदंबा की विजय स्तुति होने लगी सभी देवता और ब्राह्मण मां पर पुष्पों की वर्षा करने लगे इस प्रकार दुर्गम दैत्य को मारने से देवी जगदंबा का दुर्गा नाम विख्यात हुआ प्रसिद्ध हुआ ।

Then Brahma ji gave all the Vedas to the demon by saying Aastastu, the Brahmin Sandhya on earth due to the arrival of Vedas in the hands of the inaccessible.  Vandan until the ritual of havan forgot to recite the havan and the darkness of sin began to spread and the gods ceased to have a part of the havan, which weakened the power of the deities and became stronger by increasing sin and attacked Indra and defeated Indra.  Due to non-worship worship, the gods were weakened due to which there was no rain, the river drains dried up, which the animals and animals started to cry, then the Brahmins praised Mother Jagadamba, O Mother, we are in your shelter to protect us.  We are your sons who yearn for hunger and thirst  O protect us, we are your refuge, protect us, protect our mother, Jagadamba protect us, Mother Bhagwati appeared to the Brahmins and appeared to the Brahmins, at that time, the bow, arrow, lotus flower and beautiful fruits were being decorated at the same time.  Seeing the sad face, the streams started falling from the eyes of Bhagwati, the water coming out of the eyes kept raining for 9 days and nine nights, which made the beings of the whole world happy, then the Brahmins said to the mother Bhagwati that you should take away our sufferings.  You have drained streams of water from your eyes, so now please be pleased to sit in the name of Shatakshi and take away the Vedas from the inaccessible monster, Bhagwati Shatakshi presented many kinds of herbs and sweet fruits to the gods and beings, due to which she is the Shakambhari.  Devi Kahalai

 Goddess manifested many powers with her Deity for slaughter of the inaccessible and went on daunting the inaccessible and said, "O wicked one, you have become conceited after receiving the death, your time of death has come near,"  And broke his chariot and killed the charioteer. Goddess Jagadamba destroyed a demon army, the rain of arrows was so fierce that two arrows started going into her eyes and pierced her chest with five arrows.  He died and his mother Jagadamba took the Vedas from him and gave it to the gods, which caused the whole sky to be shankhanad, the victory of Maa Jagadamba began to be praised. All the gods and Brahmins started showering flowers on the mother, thus killing the inaccessible monster.  The name Durga of Goddess Jagadamba became famous.
