  मित्र से मित्रता शब्द बनता है दोस्त से दोस्ती दोस्ती का अर्थ निकाले तो दो अस्तित्व बनता है  जब दो लोग या मनुष्य एक दूसरे के संपर्क में आते हैं या अस्तित्व में आते हैं तब दोस्ती होती है उनकी दोस्ती जब गहरी हो जाती है जब उनका मन उनके विचार आपस में मिलने लगते हैं तो वह दोस्त बन जाते हैं फ्रेंड शब्दका अर्थ करके देखें तो पता चलता है कि दोस्ती का सही मतलब क्या है.                       F- first.                                                                           R- relation.                                                                    I-in.                                                                                E-earth.                                                                        N-never.                                                                        D- dies.                                                                                       First relation  in earth never dies  अर्थात धरती का पहला रिश्ता जो कभी नहीं मरता यही एक रिश्ता होता है जो मनुष्य अपने आप बनाता है बाकी के रिश्ते तो उसे परिवार से मिल ही जाते हैं लेकिन दोस्त वह अपने पसंद का बनाता है जिससे उसे बात करना पसंद हो उसे अपने जीवन की छोटी से छोटी और बड़ी से बड़ी घटना में शामिल करता है मित्र के बिना जीवन अधूरा होता है क्योंकि जिसे आप मित्र बनाते हो उसके ऊपर भी बहुत बड़ी जिम्मेदारी होती है  मित्रता निभाने की सच्चा मित्र वही होता है जो स्वार्थ से परे हो जो हमेशा अपने मित्र के हित में सोचता हो उसे सही मार्ग पर लाता हो अगर वह भटक गया है तो सच्चा मित्र अपने मित्र को सही मार्ग पर लाने के लिए बुराई भी जेल जाता है और बदनामी भी सहन कर लेता है क्योंकि उसे तो सिर्फ अपने मित्र का हित ही दिखाई देता है ऐसे मित्र मिलना आजकल बहुत मुश्किल है क्योंकि आजकल स्वार्थ बहुत ज्यादा बढ़ गया है और एक दूसरे की टांग खींचना और गलत संगत तक पटकना मित्रों का ही काम रह गया है वह मित्रता की दुहाई देकर मित्र को गलत चीजों में लगा लेते हैं ऐसे समय में हमें चाहिए कि हम अकेले में आत्म चिंतन करें और जो मित्रता के के बीच में हो रहा है उसका मंथन करें और जो आवाज आत्मा  से आए आप के संस्कारों की आए उसे माने और मित्र ऐसा बनाएं कि आप ही नहीं पूरा समाज आपका पूरा परिवार आपकी मित्रता की प्रशंसा करें आपकी मित्रता पर गर्व कर सकें जिस प्रकार त्रेता युग की मित्रता थी राम और राजा निषाद राज गुरु की मित्रता थी राम और सुग्रीव की मित्रता थी राम और विभीषण की जो आज तक गौरवान्वित करती है और मित्रता का सही अर्थ भी समझाती है द्वापर में श्री कृष्ण और सुदामा की मित्रता प्रचलित है श्री कृष्ण और अर्जुन की मित्रता जग विख्यात है मित्र ऐसे बनो या बनाओ जिसमें प्रेम ही प्रेम हो स्वार्थ का नाम भी ना हो जिस प्रेम में मित्रता में सदैव मित्र का हित ही छुपा हुआ हो इसलिए अपना मित्र बनाते समय यह जरूर ध्यान रखना जो स्वार्थ से मित्र बनता है वे कभी भी मित्रता नहीं निभा सकता और जो तुमसे प्रेम करता है तुम्हारे हित के लिए तुम से भी लड़ने को तैयार हो जाएगा  वही सच्चा मित्र  होता है
