श्राद्ध क्या है?

 भाद्रपद की पूर्णिमा से  आश्विन कृष्ण  अमावस्या तक 16 दिनों का समय श्राद्ध पक्ष कहलाता है ऐसा माना जाता है कि श्राद्ध से केवल पित्र ही तृप्त नहीं होते हैं बल्कि सभी देवों से लेकर वनस्पतियां तक तृप्त होते हैं शास्त्र और पुराणों के अनुसार श्राद्ध की दो प्रक्रियाएँ पहली हैं  पिंड दान और दूसरे ब्राह्मण भोजन ब्राह्मण सब देवताओं के पूज्य माने जाते हैं ब्राह्मणों को सब देवता शीश झुकाते हैं इसलिए श्राद्ध में ब्राह्मण भोजन अनिवार्य माना गया है कि हमारे हमारे वरदान में कहा गया है कि ब्राह्मण के मुख से देवता ग्रहण करते हैं और ब्राह्मणों के माध्यम हैं। हम अपने पितरों को श्राद्ध ग्रहण करवाते हैं और उस श्राद्ध से पूर्वज प्रसन्न होते हैं और सुख समृद्धि का आशीर्वाद देते हैं और जो पित्र या पूर्वज श्राद्ध ग्रहण नहीं कर पाते हैं वह  प्रेत योनियों में ही भक्तते रहते हैं।हिंदू धर्म की मान्यता के अनुसार या हमारे ग्रंथों के अनुसार हमारे पूर्वजों ने श्राद्ध पक्ष इसलिए बनाया है ताकि हम अपने उन पूर्वजों को याद करें उनकी पूजा करें उन्हें सम्मान दें कि हम उन्हें अभी भी याद करते हैं हम उन्हें भूले नहीं हैं श्राद्ध का माध्यम से। पूरा हिंदू धर्म अपने पूर्वजों को याद करता है ब्राह्मण के रूप में हम अपने पूर्वजों को देखते हैं और उन्हें बहुत प्यार से खिलाते हैं और उन्हें दक्षिणा देकर विदा करते हैं कुछ लोग गया श्राद्ध भी करवाते हैं उसका भी बहुत महत्व होता है गया श्राद्ध का मतलब होता है कि अब उनका श्राद्ध आगे नहीं निकाला जाएगा क्योंकि अब वह चला गया है!गया श्राद्ध जो भी करवाते हैं उन्हें जब से श्राद्ध शुरू होते हैं तब से लेकर जब तक खत्म होते हैं  वही रहना पड़ता है और पंडों के द्वारा उन दिनों में पूजन कराया जाता है और पूर्वजों के लिए मुक्ति का द्वार खोला जाता है इसीलिए जब उनकी मुक्ति  हो जाती है या मोक्ष  हो जाती है तो फिर उन्हें पुनः श्राद्ध ग्रहण करने के लिए नहीं बुलाया जाता है क्योंकि  जिस जीव की मुक्ति हो चुकी है वह वापस कैसे  आ सकता है वह जीव तो ब्रह्म में लीन हो गया इसलिए गया श्राद्ध का बहुत महत्व है रामायण में जब राम भरत मिलन हुआ था वनवास के समय तब राम को पता चला था कि राजा दशरथ की मृत्यु हो गई है तब उन्होंने वहीं   परवन में में गुरु वशिष्ठ के साथ राजा दशरथ को पिंड दान दिया था और उनका  श्राद्ध किया था यह त्रेता युग  से चली आ रही परंपरा है जो कि आज तक चली  आ है सभी को अपने वंशजों पूर्वजों की शांति के लिए मुक्ति के लिए श्राद्ध करना चाहिए।

As Brahmins, we look at our ancestors and feed them with great love and give them alms and leave them. Some people also offer Gaya Shradh. It also means Gaya Shraddha.  It is believed that now his shraadh will not be taken forward because now he has gone!
